New Blog!

Welcome to my new blog! I was sitting up looking at cosmetic product reviews on Glamour.com and read one recent post asking if you had to wear one lipstick the rest of your life, what would it be? I commented on it (Lancome's Le Rouge Absolu in Champagne) and got to thinking: I would love to review cosmetic products and give people the tips and tricks I've learned working in the cosmetics industry. I work as a cosmetic counter manager/makeup artist, which is something I ADORE. I get incredible one-on-one interaction with so many amazing (and sometimes not so amazing) women everyday, and I get the opportunity to teach them how to make themselves look beautiful and feel good about themselves. But, they have to come to the store to see me so I can do that. So, in writing this blog, I can come to you and help you with whatever makeup and skincare questions you have or tips you're interested in learning about.

I have an intense love for cosmetics and have had an interest in the fashion world since I was a little girl. When I have a woman in the chair, my number one focus is to help her like what she sees when she looks in the mirror and teach her how to do that for herself at home. It's so satisfying to see a woman come back to my counter again and again and be excited about how she looks, like the techniques I've taught her and be able to do them herself. So many women cringe when they look in the mirror and so many women are truly clueless as to how to apply makeup in a way that flatters their features or find the colors that match their skin tone, hair color, and eye color best. By doing this blog, I can provide women outside of the region I work in with some help from a professional :)
